  • How long do I have to pay after I've recieved service?
    iNerd does not offer terms. Payment is due at the end of service. We accept cash or Credit Card via PayPal. Top
  • I don't have a PayPal account. How do I pay with my Credit Card?
    A PayPal account is not needed to pay with your Credit Card. PayPal is the interface which handles the processing of the credit card. Top
  • Can I pay for my service with a Cheque?
    No. Unfortunately iNerd does not accept cheques. Payment must be either cash or Credit Card. Top
  • I'm a returning customer, do I get a discount on my service?
    iNerd values your business and gives you a 10% (before taxes) on all services, except on Variable Services. Top
  • Do I recieve a discount when requiring more than one Service?
    Yes, for any service (except variable services) we off a 20% discount (before taxes) when more than one service is required during the same visit.
    This discount is also combined when you are a returning customer for a total of a 30% savings (before taxes) Top
  • My Business is PST exempt, why do I still have to pay PST?
    As you are not able to re-sell our service, you can not claim the PST exemption. Top
  • iNerd has agreed to refund the cost of my service, how will I be paid?
    All refunds are paid EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) or cheque via mail. Top

    Yes, iNerd is very happy to meet with you to discuss your needs.
    Once your requirements have been determined, we will provide you with a quote for our scheduled service.

  • I just purchased a new wireless router, you mean it's not secure?
    NO. Unfortunately your wireless router does not come configured for security. It comes unsecured to allow people to connect easily. This means if you haven't change the "out-of-box" settings, anyone can get on your wireless network and see your files. Top
  • What security can my Wireless Router have?
    1. No Security - Anyone can connect and see your computer and shared files
    2. WEP (weak security) - A WEP password is better than no security. It will keep out your neighbours but a serious hacker can crack it in minutes.
    3. WPA (strong security) - A WPA password is better then WEP but can be broken by serious hackers. But very hard.
    4. WPA2 (unbreakable) - A WPA2 password is the strongest and unhackable to date. Preferred encryption but older hardware may not support it.

  • How can I get access to a wireless signal I've "forgotten" the password for?
    If you have physical access to the device it must be hard reset and have the wireless signal re-created with a new password.
    If you don't have physical access to the device, iNerd cannot help you. Top

    No. iNerd does not have a retail location. We provide service onsite at your location, either home or business. Top
  • I've lost the Install Disc that my software came on. Can you help?
    This depends. If you've lost the media that is required to install your software you can sometimes use a different copy of the media to install the software.
    However, you will still need the serial number to install the software.
    If you cannot locate both the media and serial/install number then you should first try contacting the software provider. They may be able to provide you with one or both items. Top
